Notes:

This rapid is upstream of the point most paddlers put in.  It is a really nice drop but has been unrunnable since 1994 due to a log washing in to it.  The log wouldn't be overly hard to remove, but Upper Big Creek is a pristine run in a National Park and it wouldn't be ethical to saw it out.  Additional thoughts on the ethics of removing logs include Kevin Colburn's excellent AW article, my contribution to a RBP thread on the ethics of altering river features, and my addendum to my contribution to the RBP thread.
