Notes:

Feeding sorghum into the cane mill.  Sorgum is an old-world grass that looks a lot like corn minus the ears.  The farm on which these images were made is located up a cove tucked between the new I-26 and the old US-23.  A group of (primarily) paddling friends and I make several hundred gallons of apple cider together every fall.  Fall 2003 we set up our press next to the shed in which this series of images was made.  I made a series of photos of the apple cider production process to go with the series documenting the production of molasses, but unfortunately I accidently deleted them while cleaning up my files  Oh well,  we'll do it again next year . . .
