Paddlers wanted for the Annual NC Wildlife Federation Catawba Canoe & Kayak-a-thon: Paddling for conservation
June 18, 2005 beginning at 9:00am and lasting until lunch. Volunteers will paddle a stretch of the Catawba River to raise money for wildlife. This is a 7- mile paddle within the Mountain Island Lake section. Participants will begin at the Duke Power Riverbend Station and paddle to the Highway 16 Bridge. Lunch and shuttles will be provided. Participants must provide their own canoe or kayak along with PFD s and other needed gear for this enjoyable fundraiser.

. All monies generated are tax deductible and will go towards the North Carolina Wildlife Federation's ongoing efforts to protect and enhance the wonderful wildlife and habitat in and around all NC river basins for you and future generations to enjoy!
