The Western Carolina Paddlers own a 14 foot raft and an oar frame. This equipment is available for members to use for the day, weekend or longer trips. We have a limited number of paddles and are always on the lookout for donations of PDFs for both adults and children. Raft use is limited to WCP members. This includes everyone in the raft, including the passengers, and implies that everyone in the raft has signed our standard RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITY FORM.
To reserve the raft, contact our raft schedulers. You will need to read our RAFT USE POLICY and turn in a signed RAFT USE FORM with your use payment. These may be given to the raft schedulers or mailed directly to the WCP: P.O. Box 8541, Asheville, NC 28814. Everyone in the raft must be club members and have signed our standard RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITY FORM.
If not already installed on your computer, click here to download the Adobe Acrobat Reader needed to view and print PDF files. The RAFT USE POLICY and RAFT USE FORM can also be viewed below; the RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITY FORM is part of the membership form and can be viewed on the membership page.

Site look funky? Your browser is so old standards-based layouts and styling confuse it. Consider updating. Good options include: Mozilla (Linux, Mac, Windows), Mozilla Firebird (Linux, Mac, Windows), Netscape v7 or higher (Linux, Mac, Windows), Opera v7 or higher (Linux, Mac, Windows), Galeon (Linux), Konqueror (Linux), Apple Safari (Mac), Mozilla Camino (Mac), Microsoft Internet Explorer v5 or higher (Mac), Microsoft Internet Explorer v6 or higher (Windows). All are free. Because of security concerns I personally avoid Internet Explorer. It may or may not be more buggy than its competitors, but its prominence and Microsoft's notoriety make it the most frequent target of malicious crackers.
WCP is pleased to be an American Whitewater Affiliate Paddling Club. As a member of an affiliated club you are eligible to join AW at a $10 discount. Please consider doing so. For $25 a year ($15 if you are a junior or a senior!) you get a great paddling magazine and you help this non-profit organization defend our streams!
